Another $9 for one of those little bottles of touch-up paint and it’ll be good as new (from a couple feet back)!

That’s the plan! Much better than $300 at a body shop

Awesome, glad the compound worked well! Another tip, the touch up kit from the dealer will do better in regards to color/metallic/luster match than anything off the shelf at Pep Boys/Advance etc. They cost a bit more, but worth it in my opinion, especially on a pearl coat.

Me too, it worked way faster than I would’ve guessed too. That’s what I was planning to do, I need to go there anyways to harass them about getting rid of my sudden death airbags

so what WAS it that you actually used on it? turned out NICE.

be sure to charge the guy that ran into it for product AND labor.(quick someone look up the flag hours for fixing it).its nice to end up being able to get a cheap fix .........

I used Meguiars ScratchX 2.0. It would’ve been better to use their regular rubbing compound, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I figured the ScratchX was worth a shot, and it definitely worked. It was a coworker that did it, so I’ll go easy on him, I’ll get cash once I’ve bought the touch up paint

Oh and I applied it with a microfibre cloth after I cleaned the whole area really well. It’s like 99% gone other than that spot of missing paint, the last bits I’ll tackle when I touch up the paint

Don’t go too easy, bump the time frame up to an hour and add in a six-pack of your favorite as being necessary to get through it without wanting to punch said co-worker (unless you are in to said co-worker, then milk it into a coffee and a date) and negotiate down from there.
